A web system was designed and implemented for querying lncRNA functional similarities and potential associations between lncRNAs and diseases. The three-layer architecture involving DATABASE, WEB INTERFACE, and VIEW layer is described in the following figure.
(1) DATABASE layer. This layer stores functional similarities between lncRNAs based on IntNetLncSim and association scores between lncRNAs and diseases.
(2) WEB INTERFACE layer. Two tools including ‘lncSim’, and ‘lncDis’, have been provided for querying lncRNA functional similarities and potential associations between lncRNAs and diseases, respectively.
(3) VIEW layer. Webpages are provided for viewing the results. It shows functional similarity score between lncRNAs and association scores between lncRNAs and diseases.
