Welcome to The Orthopedic Diseases ncRNAome Atlas(ODNA) |

Orthopedics is an important branch of medicine that related to disorders of the bones, joints, spinal cord or peripheral nerves, muscles and connective tissue as well as ligaments and cartilage. Orthopedic disorders have a high incidence and morbidity characteristics, which affects the quality of life of most people during their lifetime. In addition, many disorders of other body systems, including the vascular, nervous, immune and metabolic systems, may also affect the musculoskeletal system and complicate the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic diseases. Research over the last two decades revealed new classes of ncRNAs, including miRNAs, snoRNAs, lncRNAs, piRNA and circRNAs, all with different regulatory functions that effectively feedback into a larger RNA communication network that ultimately regulates the cell functions. However, the data about ncRNA and orthopedic diseases has remained scattered in massive articles. To provide a way to investigate the association between orthopedics disorders and ncRNAs and take full advantage of tremendous public resources, we designed a platform called ODNA database.
