Functional description
PTENP1 and PTEN were concurrently downregulated in GC samples. PTENP1 overexpression inhibited cell growth and induced apoptosis in GC cells. We further demonstrated that PTENP1 could act as a ceRNA to sponge miR-106b and miR-93 from targeting PTEN for downregulation using a novel ceRNA in vitro gradient assay.
