Functional description
Since SNAI1 3'UTR primarily influenced migration and invasion of RMUG-L cells, we narrowed our search to miRNAs that have been demonstrated to have contributions to migration and invasion in ovarian cancer or other cancers. Namely, seven candidate miRNAs including miR-153, miR-199a-5p, miR-203, miR-204, miR-22, miR-34a, and miR-34c were subjected to further validation.Luciferase assays indicated that decreased activity of miR-153, miR-199a, miR-203, miR-204, miR-22 and miR-34c resulted from increased levels of Renilla luciferase after SNAI1 3'UTR overexpression in RMUG-L cells.
