Functional description
This difference likely results from the presence of two miR-20 binding sites and one miR-18 site in the E2F1 3' UTR, plus the added inhibition of the coexpressed miR-20 family member miR-17-5. These effects were recapitulated in a luciferase assay wherein the RLuc reporter was fused to a fragment of the E2F1 UTR spanning the two miR-20 sites
