Result Surprisingly, the expression level of VDR mRNA significantly decreased after 2 months supplementation with VD in our selected patients and in contrast, the level of serum 25(OH) D increased after supplementation.
Mechanism/Pathway In summary, here we showed that beside the increase of the serum 25(OH)D level in MS patients, the VDR mRNA expression significantly decreased which may be associated by different factors and also may overshadow the complexity of the underlying mechanisms for gene regulation by VD
