| Title | TAGAP instructs Th17 differentiation by bridging Dectin activation to EPHB2 signaling in innate antifungal response |
| Risk Type | Phenotypic risk |
| Main Result | Positive |
| Result | TAGAP-deficient mice showed a delay in the onset of neurological impairment and much lower disease severity.Perivascular leukocyte infiltration and demyelination were much more prominent in the spinal cords of heterozygous control mice compared with TAGAP-deficient mice. There was a marked decrease in the expression levels of ‘signature’ IL-17-responsive genes, such as CXCL1, CXCL2, IL-6, and IL-1β, in the spinal cords of TAGAP-deficient mice compared with heterozygous control mice. There was a great degree of mononuclear cell infiltration in the brain white matter and spinal cords of heterozygous control mice than in TAGAP-deficient mice .The Th17 and Th1 cells in the peripheral blood and brain were also comparable between Rag2-deficient mice transferred with wild-type or TAGAP-deficient CD4+ T cells. |
