Results of multiple sclerosis :

Result	There is a significant decrease in the mean disease scores at several time points of mice covaccinated with both the IL-4 and PLP139–151 plasmids compared to the controls. There is also a decrease in the incidence of disease and mean peak disease severity with the covaccine.
Mechanism/pathway	IL-4 expressed from the naked DNA is secreted and acts locally on autoreactive T cells via activation of STAT6 to shift their cytokine profile to T helper 2.
