levels of miR-203 using RTPCR from 10 snap-frozen anaplastic astrocytoma (A1-A10) and 10 GBM (G1-G10) human tissue samples and compared them with 3 normal brain samples (NB1-NB3). We consistently observed that relative miR-203 expression is attenuated in both anaplastic astrocytoma and GBM samples.Cotransfection of Robo1 3′UTR-Luc vector with pmiR-203 decreased firefly luciferase activity to about 50% of the vector alone control.
