| Detail Description | In glioma cell lines, our analysis showed that expression of 7 of the 118 human miRNAs (5.93%) was more than 2-fold lower, and that of 11 of 118 (9.32%) 2-fold higher relative to levels in normal tissue. miR-7 showed the most significant decrease relative to normal tissue (6.4-fold), particularly in the TJ899 GBM cell line (7.9-fold). The miR-7 expression data from the microarray analysis were confirmed using quantitative RT-PCR.miR-7 inhibits the expression of PI3K and Raf-1 and binds to their 3'-UTR. |
